Sparking the Wonder Within
Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coaching
Laurel Aston is a certified Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coach.
The Kaizen-Muse creativity coaching philosophy embraces the
traditional tools of setting intentions and accountability.
It is unique in its use of the ten Kaizen-Muse coaching tools,
as well as the emphasis on
self-nurturing,
play,
and compassion.
Kaizen is a Japanese word that means "small steps". The word
Muse in Kaizen-Muse refers to re-invented Muses from The Nine
Modern Day Muses and a Bodyguard by Jill Badonsky,
founder of the Kaizen-Muse coaching program.
I help
clients build success by

As a Creativity Coach, I pose these questions...
Could you use more focus, creativity and joy in life?
How about less overwhelm and procrastination?
When
informed about what resistances are normal in
the creative process, a client is equipped to move
past the obstacles of feeling incompetent, overwhelmed,
discouraged,
confused, or feeling a need to avoid or abandon a desired
path.
Kaizen-Muse coaching clients successfully replace fears,
perfectionism, overwhelm, negative self-talk, low self-confidence,
avoidance,
unproductive habits, or self sabotage with more
focus, creativity and joy.
Do you ever wish you had someone who understood your creative
resistances?
Natural to the
creative cycle are periods when enthusiasm wanes.
In the creative process people need validation and support
in problem
solving. A Kaizen-Muse
creativity coach provides the kind
of mentoring
needed to continue moving forward.
For a while, you
might just need skilled identification and confirmation
of
strengths, the kind of structure that builds productive
creative habits, and
more
accountability
through the unique partnering techniques I use.
How could creativity coaching possibly help when
it seems there is just no time for anything more than
what you're doing?
If you have previously abandoned your creative self,
you might need information about the creative cycle,
and what
kinds
of obstacles are operating in your life.
If you have acknowledged
your creative hunger, or you feel the creative project about
to burst out onto the scene, you are in that special place
where it is necessary to learn and
integrate
the tools
that
will
make
time
available
for your dream
to happen.
In either case, you probably need a kind of support which
is required for steady artistic activity and which has been
rarely available to people for their creative dreams in this
exciting and effective way.
Will learning more about creativity with a Kaizen-Muse
coach help you get unstuck?
Yes. There is a cycle to one’s creativity, and it
is different for every person. Sometimes creativity
seems to
disappear
or become elusive; this is usually a stage called
creative chaos, and
there are specific things one needs to do during
this phase. Through Kaizen-Muse coaching, discouragement
and
creative
freeze are converted into preparation
for motion; action does result in creative fulfillment.
What will happen as we start Kaizen-Muse coaching?
As a Kaizen-Muse Creativity Coach, I have been
trained to use, and I am experienced in applying
the ten Kaizen-Muse coaching tools. We
start off coaching
with a detailed questionnaire - an incredibly
valuable review
of past creative experiences, present goals &
dreams, and known challenges. This process starts
to shift things in amazing ways.
We allow
difficulties and obstacles to show themselves in coaching;
I gently guide the client into more awareness; together we
strategize and address what's happening.
I guide you in
setting goals
that are purposely creative, imaginative, sometimes playful,
and often indirect, in order to match the mystery
and the non-linear
nature of the creative process.
Clients are empowered and do
find creative time,
direction and
structure,
as well as less
frustration
with creative obstacles. As you receive my coaching,
you begin to
weave your way into the
timeless flow of
the creative process.
